This park is the highest state park in Georgia. Our stay was the last weekend of June and the temp at our campground never got above 76 degrees. We stayed in the RV area of the park but they also have tent sites and primitive sites. Most of the campers in the RV area are tent, small campers less that 20-25', and pop-ups. I have a 23' hybrid and would not recommend anything much longer than that. A lot of the RV sites are not able to handle the camper and the tow vehicle if they are long. Maneuvering up the mountain can be tough if your tow vehicle isn't very powerful. It is a pretty steep drive up into the park. There is a nice 17acre lake that our kids enjoyed fishing in. The park feels like you are in a remote area but is a very short drive into Clayton, GA. ATT&T LTE cell service was pretty good and I was able to get 27 HD stations off my antenna. The RV sites have fire pits that you can cook over but do not have charcoal grills. Overall it is a very nice park. We saw more rangers cruising around than any park I have ever camped in. They were nice but I found that the volunteer camp host was rather bothersome and seemed nosey.
