One of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed at. Does not have a swimming pool. It does have very nice large sites some with a lot of trees and shade. This could interfere with Satellite reception but there are many sites that have a clear view to the sky. The owners of the park are great. The atmosphere is very quiet and friendly. Not a lot to offer for kids but they do have a nice playground area and a big field which is perfect for kite flying or Frisbee throwing. They are within 30 minutes of both Duke Hospital and UNC Hospital and less than an hour from Raleigh. Burlington is only 15 minutes away. They are also within two miles of the Tanger Outlet Mall. Please plan to make reservations as they fill up fast especially if you want to stay a week of more.
