This was our second stay at Raccoon Mt. RV Park and we'd definitely stay here again. Great people in the office, guide to your site. Sites are big, and level, each with its own cement pad. On the grounds of a gem mine, 8 miles to town, less than 2 miles to Walmart and many other stores, gas, restaurants, etc. Great place to stay.

Good campground with nice amenities. Only. negative is, almost all of the sites are un-level to some degree and many require the front tires to be off the ground if you want to be completely level. Very peaceful and picturesque. Stayed in a 40' MH September 2018.
We stayed at Raccoon Mountain RV Park to escape Hurricane Irma. It turned out to be a wonderful stay. The staff was more than helpful even though they were swamped with campers. Not only were there a lot of people getting far away from the hurricane but it was during the Ironman 70.3 games. There was much security and even a check point at the entrance to make sure you had reservations. The park is located on the grounds of Raccoon Mountain Caverns. The wide, level shady sites are in the valley of the mountain which means beautiful scenery all around. Big pool, laundry, gem panning, fitness room, small store, fishing pond, dog run. Escort to your site. Rental cabins, splash pad for kids, pavilion, tent area, mini golf. Great wifi. 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga and attractions. Would definitely return.
