1. Campground Overview & Reservations

East Fork Campground features 133 campsites spread across four loops, accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs up to 35 feet. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food locker. The campground is open from mid-May to early October, weather permitting.

  • First-Come, First-Served: The remaining sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Fees: $35 per night for standard sites.

Note: Trailers and RVs over 35 feet are not recommended due to site limitations.

From Bishop, drive north on U.S. Highway 395 for about 30 miles. Take the Tom's Place exit, then follow Rock Creek Road (Forest Service Highway 12) for approximately 5 miles to the campground entrance.

The paved road is generally well-maintained, but due to the campground's high elevation, it's advisable to check current road conditions before your trip, especially during early spring or late fall.
